▶ Cerritos Building Also Purchased

Logos Mission (President Rev. Park Do-won) has purchased a large building in the Cerritos area and is moving full steam ahead with plans to establish a Korean-style health screening center.
Logos Mission has been operating the Christian Medical Mutual Aid Society (CMM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing medical expenses, for over 20 years, and has been planning and implementing initiatives to enable its members to receive Korean-style one-stop health screenings even in the United States.
To this end, Logos Mission completed escrow on the 6th for the purchase of a nine-story office building in Cerritos (Plaza Tower, 18,000 Studebaker Rd., Cerritos) for $31.6 million. Completed in 1984, this large-scale building sits on a 4.22-acre lot and has an interior floor area of 193,300 square feet.
Logos Mission plans to remodel a portion of the building—approximately 40,000 square feet—into a health screening center as soon as detailed plans are finalized with a Korean university hospital. Construction is expected to take about one year. The building will be renamed “Logos Tower” and will serve as Logos Mission’s headquarters for the Western United States.
A representative from Logos Mission stated, “The health screening center is a ministry that Logos Mission has long aspired to establish, as not only CMM members but also Korean Americans in the U.S. feel a pressing need for it,” adding “Logos Mission has already signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with a renowned university hospital in Korea to collaborate on the health screening center, securing consulting services and essential personnel. Representatives from the Korean university hospital have already visited the building located in Cerritos,” they added.
Headquartered in Chicago and founded in 1976, Logos Mission—which is celebrating its 47th anniversary this year—is a nonprofit Christian organization that owns and operates the Christian Medical Mutual Aid Society, the Christian Journal, and the Ramona Shelter and Prayer Center, among other entities.
