CMM-Merciful Share is a program where, after one year of participation, all members share the excess medical expenses exceed $150,000 per illness or accident. After 12 consecutive months of membership, an additional $100,000 is added each year, up to a maximum of $1,000,000 for the same illness. All members participate in CMM-Merciful Share, regardless of their level, in sharing the medical expenses in excess of $150,000 at the level they participate in.

Members who face high medical expenses due to illness or accident may first check and use any discounts or financial assistance programs available to self-pay patients through medical providers. If medical expenses still exceed $150,000, the exceeded amount is shared by all members through an additional gift. This gift is calculated by dividing the total excess amount by the total number of CMM member units for that illness.
