Just when I was finding U.S. healthcare costs to be so expensive and burdensome, an acquaintance introduced me to CMM Christian Medical Mutual Aid, and I joined as a member and remained a member for about seven years.
One day, I started to feel a slight stomachache, but the pain eventually became so severe that I couldn’t even walk. I went to the emergency room and underwent surgery for acute appendicitis. Although the surgery went well, I was discharged the same day due to the high cost.
Starting three weeks later, I began receiving calls about the surgery costs and various related expenses, and when I found out the total amount, I was stunned by the staggering medical bill and felt a lump in my throat.
As I began to have faith that our Lord would surely cover the cost of the surgery, and while I was praying about it every day, I called the Christian Medical Mutual Aid Association.
In a very calm voice, she comforted me by asking, “How much pain did you go through? Was it hard for you?” She gave me a thorough consultation and said, “Don’t worry about the cost of the surgery. I’ll help you.” Tears welled up in my eyes, and I felt a sense of gratitude and peace wash over me.
I recently received full coverage for my surgery costs, and I am truly grateful that the payment was processed accurately and promptly.
I give thanks and glory to God for covering all my surgery costs through the Christian Medical Mutual Aid Association, and I extend my deepest gratitude to the Association and its members. I am also deeply grateful to those who handled everything promptly and to those who offered warm words of comfort during our consultations.
I pray that as we share the Christian Medical Mutual Aid Society with those around us and take pride in it, more members will join, allowing our ministry of sharing medical expenses with those in need to expand even further.
